Dominic Cooper is an English actor who was born on the 2nd of August 1978 in Greenwich, London. He attended the Thomas Tallis School in Kidbrooke, and then trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After graduating in 2000, he began his acting career in theatre productions such as "His Dark Materials" and small television roles such as "Band of Brothers". His first major role was in the play "The History Boys" (2004) in which he originated the role of Dakin, having been involved in the production from its very first reading. He stayed with the production for a further two years, appearing in the Broadway, Sydney, Wellington and Hong Kong productions, before finally playing the role for the last time when it was made into a movie in 2006. Since then, Dominic has starred in the film "Starter for 10" and the BBC mini-series "Sense and Sensibility".
He will next be seen in movies such as Tamara Drewe and The Devil's Double, both due for release in 2011.
