Doctor Who

Anybody watching this series? I LOVE Doctor Who! I am so excited for Saturday, but then I'll be away and won't see the finale for two weeks. I might burst.

I'm a Doctor Who fan too! I can't wait until the final episodes, and I really can't wait until the Doctor finally sees Rose again.
I like Catherine Tate as Donna too, I didn't think I would but she's grown on me

I adore Doctor Who! I tried really hard not to become a sort of DW geek but I'm afraid I think I have become one

I don't know how I'd cope with having to wait that long to see the finale  But it seems like it's going to be great! I thought I wouldn't like Catherine Tate either, I love her sketch show but when she was in the Xmas episode she sort of irritated me but now, she's really grown on me. And when I re-watch that Xmas episode I quite like her lol

I love the fact that they've hauled the whole lot in to the last two episodes

I'm more excited for a Captain Jack and Rose reunion. He hasn't seen her since she brought him back to life! But yeah, when the Doctor sees Rose - it's going to be great.

I tried really hard too, Ish, but this series has taken me over. I'm such a fan of Donna! She's fantastic. I was the same as you two, quite anxious about Catherine Tate being the companion, but she's so funny.

Everyone being in the last episodes is SO EXCITING! When I watched the preview at the end of last Saturday's episode I just grinned the whole way through. Martha was looking kick ass!

Oh yeah, I never thought about the whole Captain Jack/Rose thing! That's going to be awesome  The only thing is that in all of the clips they showed at the end Rose was never with any of them but maybe I'm just reading too much into it (see, the DW geekness is coming out lol)

While I am looking forward to it, I'm a bit sad that it's going to be over soon. I want there to be a series next year too :sniffle::yes:

I'll miss it once it's over too, and we have to wait a while until the box set comes out :sniffle:
I noticed that Rose wasn't with the others in the clips too, but I'm hoping that it's because they had to show all the characters quickly!
Do you like Torchwood too? I watch it but I tend to dip in and out of it, whereas with Doctor Who I make sure I don't miss an episode!

Oh yeah, I love Torchwood too. It's not as good as DW but it is enjoyable. The second series was much much better than the first - I think the first one was trying a bit too hard to be for adults but the second one just concentrated on good stories

I was weeping buckets at the end of the second series :ninja: I never thought I cry at a sci-fi show lol :smilegrin:

4 hours to go

I'd like to believe they wouldn't do that to us - tempt us with a reunion and then not deliver it. They can't can they? Worried now.

I've only seen a couple of TW episodes, but I'm still excited for them to be in DW.

I think I kind of slightly know vaguely what will happen but I won't say anything in case I ruin it because I know one thing for definite. :ninja:

But I CANNOT wait for it tonight - I hope it lives up to the expectations

After the end of tonight's episode I'm a little nervous about next week's! I love David Tennant and don't want him to leave yet, and I'm worried about how many characters they're going to kill off!
Loved it though, really gripping!

I actually gasped at the end of the episode and watched the last five minutes staring at the TV screen open-mouthed lol :starhit:

I have had a bit of a guess about what might happen but I won't say anything in case it gets ruined but I definitely know it's going to be awesome! I totally didn't expect that at the end!

It was incredible. I couldn't cope with Donna being that sad and then when she didn't even know who he was at the end. The whole contrast made it worse too, I mean, one minute the whole lot of them were there and then at the end he was all alone again. :(

Just four episodes aren't going to be enough next year.

The ending for Donna was so sad and I'm upset that she and the Doctor didn't get a proper goodbye and that she'll never know how awesome she was. Some people think it might have been better if she'd died, but I don't think so. That would've been awful.

If Martha and Mickey are joining Torchwood, I might just have to start watching it properly! I love Martha and Mickey

My brother got me the first of the new series on DVD. I adore Christopher Eccleston, he is fantastic!

Oh no, it would have been horrific if Donna had died. I had totally prepared myself for that to happen because everything was pointing to that but I was relieved when she didn't - even though her leaving story was painfully sad.

Torchwood is a great series, it's not as good as Doctor Who but it's a good show in it's own right. The first series was OK but the second really upped it's game and it was a great watch with some fab drama. If you can, you should try to catch up before there are any more series'

Oh I love the first series too! Christopher Eccleston, while I prefer David Tennant, is still fab and is a great actor.

I knew that David Tennant wouldn't do the show forever, and even that he probably wouldn't do it much longer; but now that he's actually quit, I'm properly gutted about it. :sniffle:

There is a hell of a lot for the next actor to live up to.

I think that he made it quite obvious that he was leaving Doctor Who.

I don't want him to leave though....he's a great Doctor!!! And I really can't wait till the christmas episode!!!!

I thought the Xmas special wasn't as good as in previous years but I still really enjoyed. And David Morrissey was a great guest star. I liked all of the people in it and all of the acting and the drama and the comedy bits were great, I just wasn't a huge fan of the storyline in general.

What does everyone think of the new actor to play the doctor. I'm such a massive fan of David Tennant's doctor so Matt Smith will have a lot to live up to for me, but I'll give him a chance. I just hope the whole show is as good as well.

I don't really know much about Matt Smith, I just hope he can be as good as David Tennant.

Matt Smith should be an okay new Doctor. I haven't seen alot of his work but he looks like a really energetic guy with alot of enthusiasm.

Did anyone hear that the new episode is currently being filmed in Dubai?
