Qruisin PCH Quarantine Cruise 2021 Dates: Mark Your Calendar

It started as a small, somewhat underground gathering of rebellious truck and car enthusiasts during the height of the pandemic’s stay-at-home orders in 2020. The Quarantine Cruise, organized and clandestinely communicated through the Instagram page Qruisinpch, has captivated the SoCal custom car and truck scene. It’s secretive, with cruise-route beginning and ending locations revealed via last-minute texts. It’s rebellious because anything secretive has a twinge of rebellion. Yet, it’s diverse, with literally every form of custom vehicle represented. And it’s enormous, with thousands of custom vehicles driving the full cruise route or showing up at the end of the route to remind enthusiasts that we all have a lot in common.

10 Best Ford Excursion stories on TruckTrend.com

With turnabout being fair play and all, it’s only right that we give Ford’s Excursion equal time, with a collection of 10 reports about the massive sport-utility rig that were originally published in Truckin, TruckTrend, Diesel Power, and 8-Lug magazines.

If you faithfully follow our top-10 rundowns, you’ve already read the story highlighting Chevy’s Suburban. The Ford Excursion was introduced in 1999, in essence, as an “answer” for Suburban, which for years completely owned the fullsize-SUV market.

Founded on a Super Duty F-250 chassis, the Excursion was 19 feet long, 6-feet, 8-inches wide, and 77.2 inches tall. As overall dimensions go, it was the giant in the segment by far, and throughout the big rig’s 1999-2006 production run, 5.4L gas and 7.3L and 6.0L diesel V-8, as well as a gasoline 6.8L V-10 were its only powerplants.

We continue searching for the “Best Diesel Deals on Craigslist,” through a virtual road trip that started in March 2020. The tour began with a report on a 1994 Ford E-350, which served as a rolling communications center for Bill Clinton, the 42nd U.S. President. Now our database holds 22 stories that highlight results from our ongoing search for diesels being privately sold via Craigslist from coast to coast.

It’s important to note that diesel-powered pickup trucks, while plentiful almost everywhere, are not the primary target of our searches. In an effort to have some fun with this project, we’re looking for uncommon, unique, or even quirky diesel vehicles, equipment, parts, etc. However, there certainly are instances where the late-model pickups we’re all familiar with receive proper credit.

Little Rock was light on candidates when we executed our search. The result was only 28 rides of various configurations, our lowest
