Hypnosis Session Effectiveness – Interactive Hypnosis Compared With Only Reading Scripts to Clients

Knowing several different hypnotism methods offers the hypnotist flexibility with clients. In this article, read some benefits of interactive hypnosis compared with only reading a script to a client during a session.

Before discussing some benefits of interactive client session hypnosis, think about some of your life’s lessons. Do you find greater value about life lessons where somebody was telling you what to think and how to feel about the situation?

Or, do you find more value in carrying on a two-way, interactive conversation with another person where you both express and share information? If you prefer the latter, you can begin to easily imagine the benefits of interactive hypnosis client sessions.

In interactive hypnosis sessions, the client and you share different viewpoints. Your views suggest different ways the client can interpret a situation. The client’s views express his or her specific thoughts and feelings about an issue. Let’s face it. Often the more information you have about a client’s situation, the more easily you can help a client resolve it.

With interactive hypnosis, you play a guiding and listening role. When clients feel genuinely heard and cared for, that helps increase your credibility as a hypnosis professional. Another role you play is that of a coach. When you coach your clients interactively to see new possibilities, you help them see options they might have never before created for effective issue release.

In ‘read-only’ hypnosis sessions, the client simply listens to the hypnotist reading suggestions to the client. Though this might be convenient for a ‘control freak’ hypnotist, many obstacles to effective challenge resolution can occur if the hypnotist dictates what thoughts for the client to think.

In ‘read-only’ hypnosis sessions, the client’s inner feelings and thoughts may remain hidden making complete mental and/or emotional obstacle release impossible. When the hypnotist simply guides a client into a relaxed state and then reads a script with suggestions about challenge resolution, some acceptable possibilities may be missing for the client.

While a ‘read-only’ type of client session might work in part of the client consultation, assuming the authority role throughout the visit might feel minimizing to your visitor. Since hypnotherapy is designed to help a client resolve issues and move forward, interacting with your client seems best for the client to do his or her own thinking.

Interactive hypnotherapy helps the hypnotist more accurately assist his or her client transformation work. It also makes it easier for the hypnotist to not have to search for or write scripts for their client sessions.
