Black Rifle Coffee Shows Roush Partnership in Bucky Lasek Video

A jumping supercharged truck. Explosions. Coffee. We had to give Black Rifle Coffee Company’s (BRCC) video a click while sipping our Monday morning brew, and we don’t regret it. No one regrets assorted explosions (really, what in the world is going on here?) surrounding the whine of a supercharged Roush Performance 2021 Ford F-150.

The sub-five-minute video humorously welcomes skateboard legend Bucky Lasek to the BRCC Rally Team. This follows the coffee company’s recent snagging of extreme sports superstar Travis Pastrana. As a double whammy, the video conveniently shows off BRCC’s new partnership with Roush Performance, the Roush F-150 truck serving as the build initiating the BRCC-Roush partnership. Is this the first of many projects for BRCC and Roush?

The video features Rally Ready Driving School’s “Texas Dave” Dave Carapetyan behind the wheel of the new Roush F-150 and BRCC co-founder Jarred Taylor in the passenger’s seat. They do a pretty darn good job for guys who aren’t actors by profession. After a helicopter-to-vehicle coffee bean delivery, an $80 roadside Girl Scout cookie purchase, and an off-road shortcut through a field marked with a sign reading “miscellaneous explosions,” the guys finally find Bucky Lasek. As for Lasek, well, he plays a small part … this time.

The best line of the whole thing is when Texas Dave says, “Sorry, it’s kinda hard to hear me over the supercharger whine. Isn’t that exciting? They don’t supercharge enough stuff these days, don’t you think?” And Taylor’s answer, “Absolutely not.” The only factory-supercharged truck you can get is the Ram 1500 TRX. If and when the Ford F-150 Raptor R comes to market, that would be the other offering. Luckily companies like Roush, Callaway, Lingenfelter and SVE, for example, have stepped in the fill that gap—and you can also commission a shop to supercharge whatever you want.

Here’s to the dying supercharged truck. We see you. And hear you—even through some miscellaneous explosions.
