Refreshed 2023 Hyundai Palisade 3-Row SUV to Debut at NYIAS

It’s really not much of a surprise that the Hyundai Palisade—with its stand-apart-from-the-crowd styling, practical and impressive interior, and prodigious value—is a hit with buyers and a contender by our metrics in the three-row SUV class (it lands just behind the Ascent, its sister vehicle the Kia Telluride, and the ever-excellent Honda Pilot). Hyundai is starting with a strong hand, and we don’t think it’ll have much to lose by refining its strong-selling SUV. Hence, ahead of the 2022 New York International Auto Show, the company is teasing its refreshed 2023 Palisade.

The teaser images reveal a sharper, more contemporary take on the distinctive Palisade snout. The current Palisade’s curved, vertical running lights are straighter, more angular, but again bisected by a horizontal element with a little rectangular cutout. Same idea, more modern execution, less doughiness. And the grille surround, too, gets massaged, curving up and around in a blockier, stouter looking interpretation of the Tucson’s maw.

Not much else is revealed in the profile shot, but it does show off another angle of the lamps, and some handsome must-spoke alloy wheels with a polished or machined face and painted inner vanes. Some chunky sculpting around the wheel wells appears to carry over.
