This could be the best off-road e-bike we’ve seen yet… but it costs nearly $7k


Trek’s great-looking new electrical mountain bikes (eMTBs) present assisted driving with a slim body that seems to be just like a normal bike – but if you want a single of these sleek rides, you’ll have to pay out an arm and a leg.

The new Fuel EXe lineup (opens in new tab) is developed close to the brand new HPR50 mid-mount motor, which has been produced in collaboration with TQ – a German robotic enterprise (by using New Atlas (opens in new tab)). The HPR portion stands for Harmonic Pin Ring transmission and usually means the motor capabilities in the same way to a more usual rotary motor, but in a lesser deal.
